Listen,
I don’t mean to be so depressing
at what is surely
the most luxurious Planet Hollywood
of them all,
but don’t you think it’s pretty depressing
that we are almost always halfway
to someone reimagining Columbus
as a superhero who shoots crosses
from the sleeves of a very nice jacket?
 
And I still think the anticipation
of something horrible
can be just as painful
as the destination all on its own.
 
We never did finish talking about that.
