The Mourning After is an anti-war memoir painted in poetry, essays, and stories. On a more personal level, much of the book serves as a repudiation of the current situation in America where greed rules and uncouth leaders seek to divide us.

The Mourning After tells the story of the ravages of war, when broken soldiers return home and inflict damage upon their families and communities. I know this book will touch you as it did me. It's a stark and sometimes painful reminder of the worst of war and the human consequences.
